Dan Isomura, Shinobu Hanazawa, Yukiko Kimura, Koiichiro Tada
Bambinart Gallery is pleased to present a project series of introducing young artists “Emerging Artists 2016”. At this show, we introduce four artists who was born in between 1989 to 1992, Dan Isomura, Yukiko Kimura, Koiichiro Tada, Shinobu Hanazawa. They have different expression style, but all of their work reminds us Primitive art, Expressionism, New Objectivity, Neo Expressionism, New Painting or Bad Painting on their modeling basis because all of their work are figurative painting and human (or creature which border on human) is drawn in every their paintings. Also the wild brush strokes and structure, diagnostic images and the color they have. Moreover, the movement evokes the “Fusain association” in Taisho Period in Japan.
Today, it's almost 110 years since expressionism(Die Brücke was formed in Dresden in 1905), and 100 years since Fusain association was formed (the first exhibition was held in 1912) by Yori Saito(Born in 1885), Ryusei Kishida(Born in 1891) and Tetsugoro Yorozu(Born in 1885) until the artists who we introduce at this show were born. In the extremely different historical background, sharing the common characteristics such as touch, structure, form or color is much broader than a matter of mannerism, and these could be one of the universalistic expression method which artists can achieve by their speculation.
This modern society are uncertain as it lost premise that it has further evolution more than little, and the complication has progressed. In this show, we could see various ground of perspective as like view of life and death, right and wrong, sexual love, mythology or poetical imagination as artist's impulse with their creation. However, they do not lightly give political message and uncynical. They value the dimension of society and sincerely seek the relationship and search how to communicate with them. Painting has been fingered as it already finished the function in the art countless times. Even though, their painting still continue to engage the heart and mind of us. We are looking forward for your perusal of the figurative expression by the modern artists.
