Bambinart Gallery is pleased to announce the solo exhibition "LIFE" by artist Enami Nara.
Nara, after winning the gold prize at GEISAI#10 organized by Takashi Murakami, held her first solo exhibition "JUMP" at tokyo wonder site hongo, which was subsequently followed by a group exhibition at tokyo wonder site shibuya and a second solo exhibition "refigure" at GALLERY at lammfromm.
In 2008, she stayed in New York as an overseas trainee of Pola Art Foundation.
This exhibition is the first solo exhibition since she came back to Japan.
Previously, Nara picked up images from the internet and the media such as skaterboys, girls in a fist fight and faceless crowds, mainly focusing on people.
However, this time she became inspired by an old cemetary in New York and decided to use grave stones as her central motif. The repeating forms depicted in her works seem to visualize the repetition of time
In this exhibition, approximately 10 new works will be presented including the "cemetery" series and "interview".
